The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ode has pledged that the state will mobilize all necessary resources to deliver one million votes as part of it’s support for Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Ode made these remarks on Thursday in Makurdi while guiding journalists and public officials through an inspection tour of state and federal projects. He emphasized his personal commitment to helping Governor Hyacinth Alia honour his pledge of securing one million votes.
He said, “We already have a pronouncement by the governor of Benue state, his excellency Father Alia. He made the pronouncement that Benue will deliver one million votes for Mr president.”
“I think my responsibility as the deputy governor is to make sure I mobilise the executive council and the people of Benue state in large numbers to actualise that promise that has been made by the governor.”
Recall that in the last presidential election which brought Tinubu into office, Tinubu won the presidential election in Benue with 310,468 votes
Speaking on his part, the former Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs commended the federal government for executing development projects in the state.
He noted that Governor Alia’s administration established the Food Basket Brewery in Benue to align with the federal government’s multi-sectoral development strategy.
Leading the presidential media delegation on the road inspection, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, observed that state-wide projects clearly reflect where the federal government directs its resources.
Onanuga also claims that the bridge will reduce travel time between communities, especially between rural areas and the capital city.

The Benue deputy governor’s pledge adds to a growing wave of declarations by APC-controlled states promising overwhelming support for Tinubu and his re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In recent months, governors and senior APC leaders in states including Edo, Kwara, Kogi, Lagos and Ekiti have publicly vowed to deliver decisive victories for the President, describing the election as a referendum on the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
The declarations have become a recurring feature of APC political gatherings, with party leaders projecting confidence that incumbency and the party’s expanding grassroots structure will secure another nationwide mandate.
