Stakeholders and aspirants of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue South have expressed strong unity and preparedness ahead of the upcoming election cycle.
This was made known during a strategic meeting held at the party’s zonal headquarters in Otukpo, which brought together aspirants vying for various positions, including seats in the State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and the governorship. Representatives from all nine local government areas in the zone were in attendance.
The gathering also served as a formal platform to introduce the aspirants and enhance coordination among party leaders and members.

A key highlight of the meeting was a message of reassurance from the ADC National Chairman, David Mark, who restated that despite ongoing legal issues, the party remains focused, stable, and confident of electoral success. He assured supporters that the ADC would overcome its challenges and secure a place on the ballot in all forthcoming elections.
Speaking at the event, party leader Sir John Ngbede described the meeting as timely and strategic, noting that it aligns with preparations for the 2027 general elections. He emphasized the party’s commitment to strengthening unity, reviewing grassroots mobilisation efforts, and setting a clear political roadmap.
The meeting also featured prominent figures such as the State Party Chairman, Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu; Secretary of the State Leadership Team, Prof. David Salifu; senatorial aspirant Dr. David Olofu; as well as Chris Adaba Abah and Mrs Abeje Egwa, among others.
Discussions centered on party cohesion, mobilisation strategies, and strengthening the ADC’s political presence in the zone. The unveiling of aspirants was widely seen as a key moment, reflecting renewed unity, readiness, and optimism within the party as it builds momentum toward future elections.
