The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced that 115 employees would be dismissed as part of continuous agency reforms.
The secret police urged the public to stop interacting with the fired employees on the service’s behalf in a warning released on Tuesday.

The 115 fired employees’ identities and photos were disclosed on the DSS website.
“As part of the ongoing reforms in the Department of State Services (DSS), the public is hereby informed that a total of 115 personnel have been dismissed over a period,” the statement reads.

“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any official dealing with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service.”
The affected operatives were dismissed between 2024 and 2025.

In October, DSS arrested two dismissed officers — Barry Donald and Victor Godwin — for allegedly using the agency’s name to defraud citizens.
Prior to the arrest, Nigerians were urged by the secret police to stop interacting with the two officers who had been fired due to alleged fraud.
