Doyin Okupe, a former presidential aide to ex-presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, dies at age 72.
According to several reports, Doyin Okupe died in the early hours of Friday Morning, after many suspected him to be battling cancer. Although no further details on what type of illness and for how long he has been battling with it.
Doyin Okupe who hails from a prominent family in Ogun state, the Agbonmagbe family of Iperu-Remo, had a successful political career.
Before becoming a politician, Okupe was a medical doctor and co-founded the Royal Medical Cross.

Okupe was the special adviser on media and publicity under Olusegun Obasanjo before going on to serve as the senior special assistant on public affairs to ex-President Jonathan.
Afterwards, his political fame took a decline before making the news in 2022, where he was announced to be the Director-General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign for the 2023 election.
Not too long after, Doyin Okupe faced corruption allegations that made him resign from the Labor Party before becoming an advocate and enthusaist of the Tinubu-led administration.
