The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has once again reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

A correspondent who monitored fuel sales across Abuja on Monday morning observed that NNPCL retail outlets have adjusted the price to ₦815 per litre, down from ₦835 per litre, representing a ₦20 reduction.
The new price is currently in effect at NNPCL filling stations in Wuse Zones 6 and 4, Keffi–Abuja Road, and along the Kubwa Expressway.
An attendant at one of the NNPCL outlets, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the revised price was implemented on Sunday evening.

Despite the reduction, the ₦815 per litre price remains ₦79 higher than the ₦739 per litre currently sold at MRS filling stations backed by the Dangote Refinery nationwide.
It will be recalled that on December 19, 2025, They reduced petrol prices by ₦80 to ₦835 per litre, following intensified competition in the downstream oil sector triggered by Dangote Refinery’s gantry price cut to ₦699 per litre.
