Nigerian Grammy Award-winning artist, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed what his life might have looked like if he hadn’t become a singer.
According to him, if not for his music career, he might have ended up as a suicide bomber, an oil thief, or a prostitute.
He disclosed this while speaking with one of his followers.
Asked what I would have been doing if he hadn’t ended up as a singer, Burna Boy said: “There are many options, I could be stealing oil, I could be playing basket ball, I could be a fraudster, a suicide bomber, anything including a prostitute.”
The Grammy award winner became Africa’s artist with the most entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This is as his collaborative hit with American rapper Gunna, ‘WGFT’ of the rapper’s new album, ‘The Last Wun’, debuted at number 96 on this week’s Hot 100 chart, bringing Burna Boy’s total entries to 7.
He is also the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in five consecutive years (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025).
