The CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, announced that the airline has reserved three aircraft to serve as contingency plans in the event of flight delays or cancellations.
He stated that the aircraft will handle customer concerns regarding flight delays and cancellations. If any of the airline’s active aircraft encounters minor or major problems, these aircraft are parked as backups.
Onyema said this while briefing media at the airline’s corporate headquarters in Lagos.

This comes after the Air Peace’s recent fallout with former Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole along with series of complains from passengers left stranded.
“We have increased our buffer from one aircraft to three. What this means is that we now have three aircraft parked in case any aircraft develops either a minor or major fault, be it a bird strike or whatever. This is to further tackle flight delays or cancellations,” he said.
Onyema stated that though the airline was not at fault for many of the delays and flight cancellations, passengers would always have access to the standby aircraft going forward.
Onyema urged Nigerians to see Air Peace as their own, emphasising that delays brought on by weather, bird strikes, runway maintenance, and other circumstances were out of any airline’s control. Nigeria will be freed from these ties only “the people accept to love their own,” he continued, adding that the country has been stigmatised by other nations.
According to the airline operator, complaints against the airline appear to have increased recently, with the carrier’s seating capacity being cited as the cause.
According to Onyema, Air Peace currently operates 49 aircrafts, four of which are on wet lease and 36 of which were bought outright. He further disclosed that the airline will begin flights to China, India, and the Caribbean countries by September.
