Bolt to Raise Fees in Lagos Amid Rising Petrol Prices.
Bolt is considering raising fares in Lagos due to a 45.38% increase in petrol prices, which have risen from N617 to N897 per litre. The hike follows two months of fuel scarcity and a previous significant price increase since the subsidy removal in May 2023. This move comes after Bolt recently raised fares in Abuja and could lead to similar increases in Lagos and other cities. The surge in petrol costs has already led some riders to switch to public transport due to higher commute costs. The impact of inflation and high fuel prices on both drivers and passengers is prompting these adjustments.
