Dangote Refinery has reduced its ex-depot price from N841 to N832 per litre after reaching an agreement with PENGASSAN.
Following the recent clash between Dangote Refinery and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), the refinery has announced the reduction of its gantry fuel price from N841 to N832.
According to reports, this adjustment comes after PENGASSAN suspended its warning strike through the intervention of the Federal Government over the sack of 800 staff from Dangote Refinery.
Festus Osifo, the president of PENGASSAN, explained to journalists in a press conference that the association is monitoring the situation with Dangote.
Osifo said, “We are suspending and monitoring closely. Any slip on the part of Dangote, any part of this agreement, or any communiqué put out by the Ministry of Labour that is broken, we will not give any notice; or warning we will resume the suspended strike immediately.”
Following the truce between PENGASSAN and Dangote Refinery, other depot owners have also adjusted their prices accordingly. Pinnacle cut its price by ₦10 to ₦850, reflecting a 1.16% drop, while Rainoil’s Delta depot raised its price to ₦870, reflecting a ₦5 increase or 0.58%.
