Nigerian and two others arrested over gold robbery in Ghana
The Western Central Regional Police Command arrested three suspects for gold robbery at Wassa Afransie in the Western Region of Ghana.
One of the suspects is Emmanuel Kelvin, a Nigerian national; Felix Adjei, popularly called Africa or Nana Adjei; and Kofi Appiah alias Kesse, who allegedly robbed employees of Mas Palasco Gold Buying Limited to the tune of gh¢199,000.00 and other valuables.

Preliminary investigations show that Kofi Appiah, a driver for the company, and his accomplice, Emmanuel Adu, returned from Wassa Ayiem on April 4, 2025, after collecting gold from a client when armed men emerged from the bushes and fired warning shots.
The robbers made away with 14 pounds of gold, two mobile phones, and an unregistered Toyota Corolla, which was later found wrecked at the next community.
Subsequent police investigations led to the arrest of Kofi Appiah at his home in Wassa Akropong on April 21, 2025.

The other two suspects have also been arrested from their hiding places.
During the operation, police retrieved a Jojeff pump-action gun with butt number 168316; a Calymm PDS pistol without a serial number; 25 rounds of 9mm ammunition; an AA cartridge; two G3 ammunitions; a locally manufactured pistol; and GH₵65,000 in cash suspected to be proceeds from the robbery.

At present, the suspects are in custody and assisting the police in their investigations.
They will be appearing in court to face prosecution.
