Wanted CBEX promoter Adefowora Abiodun surrenders to EFCC
Among the suspects in the promoters’ panel of the Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), Adefowora Abiodun, has voluntarily emerged to the EFCC for investigation.

Faced with a lawyer, he turned himself in and voiced his willingness to cooperate with the investigators at the EFCC headquarters by 4 pm on Monday. He was earlier declared wanted alongside three others by the EFCC for the alleged involvement in the fraudulent investment scheme worth over $1 billion.

The EFCC had declared Seyi Oloyede, Emmanuel Uko, Adefowora Oluwanisola, and Adefowora Abiodun Olaonipekun wanted concerning CBEX-linked scams.
Last Thursday, the Federal High Court in Abuja gave the EFCC the authority to arrest and detain six suspected promoters of CBEX till the end of investigations and possible prosecution. The order was given by Justice Emeka Nwite upon the hearing of an ex parte motion by an EFCC counsel, Fadila Yusuf.
Justice Nwite, upon the hearing of the plaintiff’s application (the EFCC), was satisfied that the application was meritorious and accordingly granted the application as prayed.
The suspects named in the court order are Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Seyi Oloyede, Avwerosuo Otorudo, and Chukwuebuka Ehirim.

Speaking on behalf of his client, counsel Babatunde Busari, Esq., said Abiodun decided to submit himself for investigation to clear his name and correct the narrative in the media.
