Shockwave: Nasarawa Woman Macheted by Suspected Herder
A suspected herder has k!lled a 35-year-old mother of three, Kpadoo Lazarus-Uwua, at Imon Community in Adudu Chiefdom, Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

It was reported that her murder has since spawned massive acrimony and condemnations from the chiefdom.
Kpadoo-Lazarus died in her blood as a result of severe machete cuts from the hand of a suspected herder said to be a minor, according to Daily Trust.

Uwua, a mother of three, was k!lled on March 26, 2025, when an argument broke out over fishing activities, with the herder allegedly accusing the mother of three of polluting the water.
Concerning the incident, Mr Mathew Aondo stated to Daily Trust that the victim’s family members, of which he is one, are deeply aggrieved by the ugly incident, urging authorities concerned particularly, Fulani leaders to caution their youths to restraint from heinous acts capable of pitching other ethnic groups against them.

Imon Community youth leader, Comrade Samuel Ortserga, vented his anger at the act with pains over the continuous killing of their members by suspected herdsmen. He stressed that arresting the suspect is not enough.

Comrade Aondo commended the collaborative efforts of the Youth leader of Ibuan community and that of Adudu Chiefdom for arresting the suspect and subsequently handing the suspect to the police while appealing to the state government and security agencies to find lasting solutions to the killings.
He, however, urged the youths of Imon to remain calm so as to allow the processes of the law to take place, saying their peaceful disposition should not be construed as weakness.

On his part, Saleh Anaruwa, the Fulani youth leader in Adudu Chiefdom, lamented the killing of a woman who had gone fishing for the upkeep of her family.
