Presidential aide, Daniel Bwala has finally spoken out concerning critics that has trailed his viral interview on Al Jazeera.
Daniel Bwala accused Al Jazeera of selectively cutting his interview on Mehdi Hasan’s program Head to Head. He argued that the alterations produced a false narrative that sparked internet criticism and controversy.
According to Daniel Bwala, the interview was recorded on February 11, 2026, and it lasted almost an hour and twenty minutes. However, the version that was made public on March 5 was shortened to 49 minutes, with over twenty minutes taken out.

Additionally, he said that a later 8-minute reduced version was created by mixing several pieces in a way that emphasised specific ideas while omitting crucial context.
The presidential aide claims that Al Jazeera first pledged to screen the entire interview on television before making it available online. However, the network later claimed that the interview would not air due to recent events involving Israel, Iran, and the United States.

In response to the criticism on social media, he insisted that he addressed every query during the meeting and did not refute any concerns brought up.
Following this, he express regret about accepting the interview offer, though, stating that he had anticipated the conversation to center on governmental policy rather than his own political history.
He claimed to have formally written to Al Jazeera requesting a public apology and threatening to take the subject to court in England if the network fails to comply.

Bwala also emphasized that in order to give the public the right context, the entire interview must be made public.
