David Mark made the statement on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, during a meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) held in Abuja.

He emphasized that the ADC was established on the belief that Nigeria can work for all its citizens and is committed to building a political movement grounded in values rather than personalities.

“What makes the ADC different is simple: we will be a party of purpose and determination, not impulses — an institution that champions democratic values and accountability across all its organs and governments,” he said.

Mark listed four non-negotiable leadership, including standards character, competence, courage, and discipline, which according to him will guide the party.

The former Senate President emphasized that the ADC will promote internal democracy, transparency, and inclusion, adding that the supremacy of the party’s constitution and institutions will override personal interests.

He announced a new integrity and performance compact anchored on open governance, merit-based appointments, clean elections, citizen-centered service delivery, and inclusion of special groups such as women, youth, farmers, and persons with disabilities.

According to David Mark, the ADC will uphold the separation of powers, restore legislative and judicial independence, and ensure budgets serve the public interest through transparent and accountable planning and auditing.

Mark also stressed the need for a merit-driven judiciary that delivers justice efficiently and without bias, saying Nigerians deserve results that translate into food security, stable power supply, job creation, and safety.

“We will focus on what works. Nigerians are tired of slogans and statistics that do not translate into their welfare,” he said.

The ADC chairman pledged that the party will support farmers, strengthen small businesses, and ensure transparent use of public funds to deliver tangible improvements in citizens’ lives.
