Famous Afrobeat singer Davido has explained why he conducted a DNA test on his alleged teenage daughter, Aanu Adeleke.

Aanu had earlier posted an open letter on social media demanding a DNA test to confirm her paternity.
In response, Davido revealed that he had previously carried out five DNA tests at different medical centers, all of which confirmed that Aanu is not his daughter.
He further warned of possible legal action against Aanu and her mother, stressing that he has never met the woman in his life.
Davido’s disclosure generated widespread debate, with many questioning why he undertook five tests if he had never met Aanu’s mother. Reacting to the criticism on X, the singer explained that he was pressured by his father to conduct the tests, emphasizing that the Adeleke family takes their bloodlines very seriously.
“You guys don’t know my father … he’s even the one that forced me to go. Adeleke’s we don’t play about Blood on this side.”
