US president Donald Trump has warned that the US could bomb Iran if a deal isn’t reached in the next 10 days.
At the inaugural Board of Peace meeting in Washington, DC on Thursday, he issued the warning while bemoaning the exorbitant expense of war.
While boasting that he had brought “peace to the Middle East,” he also threatened that “bad things [will] happen” if Iran failed to reach a serious peace agreement.

‘We may have to take it a step further, or we may not. Maybe we’re going to make a deal..,’ Donald Trump said of breakdowns in nuclear talks.
‘You’re going to be finding out over the next probably 10 days,’ he added.
The newly established board’s meeting follows the US military’s dramatic increase in air and naval capabilities in the Middle East in recent weeks, despite Trump’s frequent claims that he wants to be the president who ends conflicts.
This included moving aircraft carriers, fighter jets, submarines and other resources to the region.

Following the most recent session of negotiations in Geneva, Switzerland, where the Middle Eastern country asked for more time with little to no progress, Iran nuclear talks came to a standstill.
According to reports, Iran’s nuclear facilities, ballistic missile sites, and military outposts could be targets for the United States.
‘Iran is a hot spot right now,’ President Donald Trump said, but added: ‘Good talks are being had.’
‘It’s proven to be over the years not easy to make a meaningful deal with Iran – we have to make a meaningful deal otherwise bad things happen.’

While announcing the establishment of a Board of Peace, the president emphasised his efforts to put an end to international hostilities and reiterated that he had stopped eight wars during his tenure in office, despite speculations that he would strike Iran “as soon as this weekend.”
The United States and other nations represented on the board, he continued, are ‘very generous with money’ to terminate ongoing hostilities and promote international peace.
‘There’s nothing less expensive than peace,’ Trump said. ‘You know, when you go to war, it costs you 100 times what it costs to make peace.’
‘A lot of people in this room hate each other – you know, sort of natural, I guess,’ the president went on. ‘But we’re bringing love back into the room like the old days.’
