President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Dr. Grace Adayilo, who served as the Head of Civil Service in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) before her recent passing.

The announcement was made by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike during her funeral service, held on Saturday at the National Ecumenical Centre in Abuja.
The solemn event was attended by top government officials, civil servants, family members, and friends who gathered to pay their final respects and honour her legacy.
Calling her passing a “painful loss,” Wike lauded Dr. Grace Adayilo as a devoted, humble and hardworking public servant whose impact on the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, would not be forgotten.
“On behalf of the FCT Administration and Mr. President, I extend our deepest condolences to her family.
“The President has instructed that her four children be offered automatic employment, understanding that the family has lost its breadwinner,” Wike stated.

He went on to commend Dr. Grace Adayilo’s exceptional service, highlighting her role in ensuring prompt payment of workers’ salaries and benefits and her influence as a respected mobilizer within her community.
Wike encouraged Nigerians to emulate her dedication, emphasizing that life’s uncertainty makes it vital to serve both God and humanity wholeheartedly.
At the service, Dr. Grace Adayilo, remembered as a selfless leader and motherly figure, was celebrated by colleagues and loved ones for her inspiring career and her commitment to the welfare of others.
