Former Kaduna State Governor and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has revealed that the party is developing a code of ethics for its leaders and candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday in Gusau, El-Rufai emphasized that the ADC is dedicated to delivering lasting change for Nigeria.
He also accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of being deceitful, corrupt, and insincere.
According to him, the ADC’s constitution stands out among political parties in Nigeria because it includes a vision for ethical leadership.
“The party’s leadership is currently working on a code of ethics that every leader and elected official must sign. It will ensure that those under the ADC focus on good governance, no diversion of public funds, no bribery, and no corruption,” he said.

El-Rufa’i added that only credible and honest members will be given appointments if the ADC wins power, noting that 40 percent of the positions will go to young people.
He urged supporters to beware of impostors trying to divide the party, saying, “The APC will not let you go easily; be careful.”
The ADC also held a stakeholders’ meeting in Zamfara, organised by the party’s deputy national organising secretary, to strengthen unity among members and encourage them to register and get their voter cards.
