Following the emergency plenary session, the Nigerian Senate has appointed 12 members to work closely with the House of Representatives on the Electoral Act Amendment Bill.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the members of the committee on Tuesday during the emergency plenary session.
Notable names among the 12-member group include Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Senator Tahir Mungono.
As of the time of this report, the Senate is holding an ongoing emergency plenary session on the contentious amendments to the Electoral Act.
