2024 Ojude Oba Festival: A Display of Steeze and Composure.
The 2024 Ojude Oba Festival is creating a buzz online, with the people of Ijebuland showcasing incredible style and grace.
Ojude Oba, meaning “The King’s Forecourt,” is a historic Yoruba festival celebrated in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria. It occurs annually on the third day after Eid al-Kabir (Ileya), honoring the Awujale of Ijebuland.
During the festival, various cultural age groups, called regberegbe, parade in front of the king’s palace, wearing luxurious and colorful traditional attires made from fabrics like sanyan, alaari, etu, and adire, as well as modern brocades and laces.
This year’s event was no different, with attendees looking regal in their vibrant outfits.
