The 2024 BET Awards nominees have been announced, featuring several Nigerian artists:
- Burna Boy: Nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Best Male R&B/POP Artist.
- Ayra Starr: Leads with three nominations for Best New Artist, Best International Act, and the BET Her Award for her song “Commas”.
- Tems: Nominated for Video Director of the Year and Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for “Me & U”.
- Seyi Vibez: Nominated for Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act.
- Asake: Nominated for Best International Act.
Other notable mentions include Davido and Lojay, who are nominated for the Viewer’s Choice Award for their collaboration on Chris Brown’s “Sensational.
The awards will air live on June 30, celebrating “Standing on Culture.” Voting for the Viewer’s Choice Award begins on June 6.
