A video of Mr. Moses Amiebenomo, the owner of a carpentry school identified as sctcAfrica in Abuja giving a pep talk to his staff has gone viral, sparking controversy over his harsh tone and emphasis on competence.
While giving the pep talk, the boss who holds a master’s degree, was seen addressing his staff, stating that in the early days of his career even with his masters degree, he slept on site.

The boss went ahead to question his staff if they know what he represents, or if they think that the company’s achievements are a product of connections rather than hard work. He emphasized that his establishment is a place where build men and women who are leaders are built.
A Facebook account identified as Benin blogger shared the video that captured the man giving a pep talk that has got many people talking.
Moses Amiebenomo was recorded saying “Good morning everybody, some of you have decided to insult my legacy, some of you have taken it upon yourselves to poo poo what I have built over the years and to be honest, what I’ve built is not this structure or that structure or any of our four factories, its not any of what I’ve built.
“What I’ve built over the years is that I’ve built men and the way I’m seeing some of you, it seems like I’m going to have a gap of leaders that come out of my institution
“I don’t know why you will leave your lives wherever you are, you will leave all the whole carpentry schools in the country and decide that it is my carpentry school that you’ll come and be lazy… who gave you that perception, do you know what I stand for? with my masters degree naim I dey sleep for slap,
“You guys think I’m unserious or you think that what we have today is a product of connection”.

He further stated ” there was no gaddem connection we were very competent. Competence brought us here and hard work, I don’t know anybody. My own father disowned me, I was on the streets, I didn’t know anybody. Everything that I’ve built was built on competence, hard work”.
While some netizens have criticized the video stating that the boss was too harsh during his pep talk, others have commended him. One user said “Na so e suppose be but who no get sense go say “he’s too controlling” Note: go hard or go home! I no dey accommodate incompetence!!!”
