Drake Loses $355K Betting on Mike Tyson Against Jake Paul

Drake just added another loss to his betting record. The Canadian rapper reportedly lost a whopping $355,000 (about ₦591 million) after backing boxing legend Mike Tyson in his showdown against Jake Paul.

The highly anticipated fight took place at the packed AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, drawing 65,000 fans.

After months of hype, the match ended with Jake Paul securing a unanimous decision victory over the iconic heavyweight. Tyson’s defeat left Drake’s big-money bet sinking fast.

This isn’t Drake’s first risky wager. Known for his love of high-stakes sports betting, the rapper has gained quite the reputation for losing bets on major events.

Fans on social media even call it the “Drake Curse,” joking that whoever he supports often ends up on the losing side. From UFC to soccer and basketball, Drake’s predictions rarely work out.

The Paul vs. Tyson fight wasn’t just another match. It was one of the biggest pay-per-view events in recent memory, with some VIP tickets reportedly costing up to $2 million. While exact figures aren’t public yet, the winner is expected to walk away with tens of millions in prize money.

Jake Paul had boldly claimed before the match that he wanted to earn $40 million and knock out a legend. With this win, he’s likely to hit that mark, adding to his estimated net worth of $80 million.

Tyson, on the other hand, reportedly pocketed $20 million for the fight, even though his net worth is listed at just $10 million.

Despite the sky-high stakes, both fighters insisted the match was about more than money. For Tyson, it was a chance to defend his legendary status. For Paul, it was another step toward solidifying himself as a serious boxer after transitioning from YouTube stardom.

As for Drake? Well, the “Drake Curse” lives on, much to the amusement of fans who love to roast him whenever his bets go south.

Maybe next time, he’ll think twice before putting his money on the line—or maybe not. Either way, his losses continue to make headlines.
