Helen Williams’ Gigantic Wig Earns Guinness World Record.
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for Helen Williams, a Nigerian lady who has made history by breaking the Guinness World Record for the widest wig. The announcement was made today, May 20th, 2024, via the verified Instagram page of Guinness World Records.
This achievement adds to a recent string of records set by Nigerians, including Chester master Tunde Onakoya, who played chess for 58 hours without losing a game. Helen Williams’ accomplishment puts her in the league of Nigerians who have set Guinness World Records between 2021 and 2024.
The Guinness World Records shared a video of the widest wig, created by Helen Williams, which measures 3.65 meters (11 feet 11 inches) in width. The caption read:
