The Edo State House of Assembly has reportedly dismissed Honorable Natasha Osawaru, the lover of Nigerian artist Innocent Idibia, also known as 2baba, as a minority leader.
Reports on April 7, 2025, revealed that Natasha Osawaru of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was removed along with Charity Aiguobarueghian, the majority leader, and Chief Whip Hon. Yekini Idaiye.
The PDP’s Maria Edeko and Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, however, continued to serve as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively.
This is coming after four of the PDP’s lawmakers defected to the APC, the state’s acting APC chairman, Jarret Tenebe, reportedly wrote a letter to the Edo State House of Assembly, causing the changes.
Following her well-publicized relationship with 2Baba, many Nigerians were immediately alerted to the news that Honorable Natasha Osawaru had been removed from her position at the Edo State House of Assembly.
