Portable’s Haircut Sparks Reactions After Apology
He was arrested by the police of Kwara State on Monday, April 14, over claims of criminal libel against Fuji musician Saheed Osupa.
Among the numerous charges he faces are that of threat to life, incitement, character assassination, criminal defamation, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and the use of abusive and insulting words.
Portable was remanded in a correctional facility after he failed to meet the bail conditions of N1 million and two sureties, one of whom must be the Chairman of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN).
His case has been adjourned until April 30th, 2025.
Earlier today, Osupa asked for withdrawal on the matter under three conditions: that Portable withdraws his statement, admits to having lied, and signs an undertaking.
This evening, Portable posted a video of him flaunting his new look and coupled it with a photo of Osupa with the caption, “God bless you sir, am sorry Baami.”
