Singer Raoul Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has credited his career breakthrough to a prayer he made during the 2013 Shiloh programme organized by the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel.

At the time, Skales was facing a low point in his career following the expiration of his contract with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (EME). He revealed that fellow artist Timaya invited him to attend the Shiloh event, where participants were asked to write down seven things they wanted God to do for them.
Skales said he wrote the same request seven times — for God to bless him with a global hit song. Shortly after, he released Shake Body, which became his biggest hit and marked a major turning point in his career.

Skales said he believes his 2015 hit song ‘Shake Body’, which recently resurfaced into a global hit after Barcelona star Lamine Yamal and some of his teammates danced to it, was the fulfilment of his prayer.
On his X handle, the singer wrote, “In 2013 @timayatimaya took me to Shiloh and we were told to write down 7 things we are praying for and I wrote a song that will take me to the ends of the world 7 times … fast forward till today he gave me a divine unending song … when they think it’s over another thing pops up about this damn song… Lord Jesus thank you.”
