US Billionaire Larry Connor Plans Titanic Dive Nearly One Year After OceanGate Tragedy.
Nearly a year after the OceanGate Titan submersible implosion, Ohio tycoon Larry Connor and Triton Submarines co-founder Patrick Lahey plan to explore the Titanic wreck. They aim to reach depths of around 3,800 meters to show safe deep-sea exploration is possible. The voyage will only occur once their vessel is fully certified, with no set timeframe yet. The June 2023 Titan disaster claimed five lives, including OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush.
