Verydarkman calls for the arrest of Portable for assaulting a man at recent event
Social media activist, Vincent Otse Martins, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has publicly accused and called for the arrest of Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable for allegedly assaulting a man in a toilet during the just-concluded Felabration event.
The Felabration event, an annual music festival in memory and celebration of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-kuti, was held in Lagos from Monday, 14th October to Sunday, October 20th and among the guest list was Portable who took over the stage as he performed his classic songs.
Shortly after the event, Verydarkman shared a video of the singer assaulting the man, believed to be his former manager. The video showed the singer taking the former manager to the toilet to beat him up.
VDM shared the disturbing video on his Instagram page expressing his outrage and stating that such behavior should not be tolerated and must come to an end within the entertainment industry.
While commenting on the assault, VDM asked the victim to contact him if he feels he was mistreated and is seeking justice.
“Imagine what portable did to this guy, like is this fair; why is he being treated like an animal is this even right?
“Please this guy should reach out to me if he feels his right has been tempered with, things like this has to stop in Nigeria, because you get connect or you be celebrity, you go just chose to abuse other peoples rights like why,” he said.
