Social media activist Vincent Otse Martins, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has made serious allegations against several Nigerian celebrities, accusing them of working together to derail the quest for justice in the case of the late singer Mohbad.
In a video posted on Instagram, VeryDarkMan claimed that actress Iyabo Ojo led a secret WhatsApp group that included music producer Samklef, Davido’s associate Dre, actor Jigan Baba Oja, and others. According to him, the group was used to spread false information and facilitate his arrest.
He further alleged that the WhatsApp group served as a coordinated platform to suppress voices and manipulate public perception during the widespread outcry following Mohbad’s death in September 2023.
The social media activist alleged that the leak of his nude video by a gossip blog, Gistlover, as well as his subsequent imprisonment, were hatched within the alleged group to silence him.
He connected his persecution to his call for comprehensive investigations into individuals who were with Mohbad before his passing, and his suggestion for a DNA test to confirm the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam Light Aloba.
VeryDarkMan vowed to expose the content of the alleged group chat, claiming it holds damaging evidence of how the public was deceived and how his freedom was allegedly compromised.
“This group was created to push false narratives and plan my arrest. They blackmailed me because I asked questions they did not want answers to,” he alleged.
