Controversial Nollywood actress and self-acclaimed relationship expert, Blessing CEO, has shared why she recently applauded controversial social media influencer and activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, whom she had often criticized in the past, because of his “selfless nature”.
While speaking in an interview, she said “Let’s say I was at odds with VDM before, but you know that point where you criticise someone genuinely, hoping they’ll improve? That’s how it was. I believe the essence of criticism is to inspire growth. And if someone you’ve criticised starts doing better, I think it’s only fair to applaud them, and that’s what I did. Since VDM came out of EFCC custody, I’ve noticed a change in him.”
Blessing CEO claimed that her observation was not based on a single incident but rather on a pattern she started to see, particularly following his recent visit to Benue to offer condolences to survivors of a slaughter in the state’s Yelwata region.
He was no longer as “aggressive or abusive as before,” she said, and he had grown more compassionate and understanding.
Recall that the two had always been at each others necks, seizing the slightest opportunity to throw jabs at each other across social media.
Blessing CEO in her recent interview, further described VDM as a masculine version of herself.
She said, “He knows it meant something, no matter how much he pretends,” as she considered the potential impact of her latest video complimenting VDM. “.
”Seeing your greatest critic give you praise will undoubtedly make you feel appreciated and inspire you to work harder. That is what we are looking for with VDM. It’s not hate,” she added.
