The terms of the will of the late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, an elder statesman and former Ohanaeze Ndigbo President General, who died a year ago, have sparked posthumous controversy.
According to the WILL, an online news site located in the United States, one of its most notable clauses allegedly prohibits his wife, Lolo Frances, from getting married again and warns that doing so would result in the confiscation of all properties left to her.

Iwuanyanwu’s Will, unveiled on June 16, 2025, by administrator, Chief Chukwuma Ekomaru (SAN), meticulously outlines the distribution of his vast wealth.
Interestingly, Frances was given the famous “Legacy House” on Port Harcourt Road in Owerri, along with the strict requirement that it must never be sold.
She also allegedly received Magil Furniture and real estate holdings in Orji, Works Layout, and Naze, Imo State, provided she stays single.
The Abuja home, which was passed down to their son, and the London house up for sale are two other noteworthy allocations.

60% of the latter’s revenues will go towards Iwuanyanwu’s youngest son’s education, 30% would go towards his first son Jide, and 10% will go towards Ezinne, who now occupies the property, in order to help her move.
Equal shares of the late Iwuanyanwu’s possessions, which were dispersed around Abuja, Imo, and other regions of Nigeria, were also given to his five children.
According to reports, they described the their father’s will “honourable and just” and admitted that at least 15 properties are still unallocated, maybe as a result of his deteriorating health in his last years.
