Speaking on The Morning Show on Arise Television on Friday, Felix Morka explained that aspirants are expected to fully understand the requirements of the positions they intend to contest before making any payments.
He noted that the party assumes applicants are already familiar with eligibility conditions, including the specific constituencies linked to the offices they seek.
However, Felix Morka admitted that there have been rare cases in the past where refunds were granted under exceptional circumstances.

He added that although refunds are not standard practice, individuals can submit formal requests for reimbursement, which the party would review on a case-by-case basis.
He said: “You know, normally, ordinarily, these payments for expression of interests and nomination forms are not refundable. I mean, there are fees paid in the process because, you know, the party assumes, and you are presumed to know what you’re applying for.
“So if you apply for a position that’s not in your district, you know that’s really on you.
“But you know, I’m aware in the history of our party that there’s been occasions where the party had to make refunds, you know, on just some special considerations to those who paid this money.
“So I don’t rule that out, if the individual affected or concerned would make a request for, you know, refund. I’m sure that will be given due consideration by the party.”
