Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has promised to deliver 85 percent votes for President Bola Tinubu in next year’s general elections.
Governor Fintiri made this promise on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The visit occurs soon after Fintiri, his cabinet, and a significant chunk of the state’s PDP apparatus defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.
The governor promised steadfast support for President Bola Tinubu’s reelection campaign in the 2027 general elections and reaffirmed his complete allegiance to the APC at the meeting.

He underlined that joining the APC was a calculated action meant to fortify the party, advance national cohesion, guarantee Adamawa’s long-term stability and growth, and bolster support for the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“I assure you that Adamawa State would deliver at least 85% of the votes for President Tinubu and the APC in the upcoming polls,” he said.

The governor’s guarantees were welcomed by the APC National Chairman, who also emphasised the significance of such high-level defections in forging a stronger, more cohesive party ahead of upcoming elections.
