Free JAMB Registration for 1,500 Delta North Students, Courtesy Ned Nwoko

Senator Ned Nwoko, the Lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District has announced a free JAMB registration scheme for 1,500 students from the district, following the commencement of the 2026 UTME exercise nationwide.

In a statement released on Wednesday through his official X page, the lawmaker revealed that the initiative was motivated by his convictions that “no qualified student should be denied access to higher education due to financial constraints” and that “education is the foundation upon which lasting development is built.”

“Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ika North East, Ika South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Oshimili North, Oshimili South, and Ukwuani local government areas of Delta State,” according to Nwoko, would benefit from the free registration push.

“In furtherance of my commitment to human capital development, I am pleased to announce the commencement of a free JAMB UTME registration drive for 1,500 students from the Delta North Senatorial District for the 2026 academic year,” he said.

Listing the eligibility requirements and application process, the senator said, “Eligible applicants must be 16 years or older by 30th September 2026 and must generate their JAMB profile code using their National Identification Number. Required details include the applicant’s full name, JAMB profile code and council ward for proper documentation and verification.”

He added, “The deadline for this registration is Sunday, 15th February 2026,” noting that “interested applicants are to complete their registration via the portal:  https://tinyurl.com/ysp9p4sd ”

Nwoko reiterated his dedication to educational access and youth development, stating that he was “resolute in advancing policies and programs that expand access to education, empower our youths, and strengthen the social and economic future of Delta North.”

The news coincides with the start of registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination by JAMB.

Candidates, including those from overseas, can register for the UTME between January 26 and February 28, 2026. Registration will formally close on February 28th, even though e-PIN vending started on January 19 and will run through February 26th.

The sale of application materials and e-PIN vending for Direct Entry candidates will start on March 2 and run through April 25, 2026, according to the JAMB Registrar. DE registration will only be available at JAMB zonal and state offices.

Additionally, JAMB announced three categories of e-PINs for the 2026 exercise: Direct Entry at ₦5,700, UTME only without mock at ₦7,200, and UTME with mock at ₦8,700. They explained that the fees include application fees, reading texts, bank fees, CBT registration and service fees, and, if applicable, mock examination costs.
