Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara on Monday welcomed the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, and his team to the Government House in Port Harcourt.
David Umahi, the Minister of Works; Balarabe Lawal, the Minister of Environment; and Chukwuemeka Woke, the Director-General of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, accompanied the NSA.

The delegation is in Rivers State to conduct a high-level survey of important locations.
Checking ongoing construction on the East-West Road, visiting the Yorla Oilfield spill site in Kpean Community, stopping at the University of Environmental Technology in Ogoni, the Gokana Oil Facility and Hospital at K-Dere, the Industrial Park site, and Taabaa General.

Governor Fubara praised the delegation for their coordinated efforts to manage the oil spill and protect affected communities.
He also urged the federal government to be patient with the people regarding the resumption of oil exploration in Ogoniland.

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, also applauded Rivers State Governor for his responsible leadership, stating that President Bola Tinubu is happy with the governor.
Ribadu said Rivers is one of the most peaceful states in the country, commending Fubara for his leadership style.
