He argued that critics are merely adopting a “coping mechanism” in reaction to what he sees as a growing wave of ordinary Nigerians signing up with the opposition party.

In a post shared on X, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour clarified that the online registration represents only the initial phase of membership enrollment, stressing that verification at the ward level remains the decisive step in officially confirming party membership.

“The actual confirmation takes place at the ward level. That’s how structure works. That’s how credibility is built,” he stated.

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour noted that it would be interesting to see prominent political figures validate their membership within their respective wards, suggesting such appearances would generate significant public attention.

Rhodes-Vivour wrote: “The recent attempts to mock the massive online registration drive of the ADC are honestly laughable. I understand the “city boys” need a coping mechanism to accommodate the frightening numbers of ordinary people registering with the opposition.

“Let them keep tweeting while you keep registering. Worth noting, however, is that the online registration process is only the first step.

“The real confirmation happens at the ward level. That’s how structure works. That’s how credibility is built.

“So by all means, It will be such a delight to see Trump and Asiwaju show up to validate their membership at their respective wards.

“In the meantime, while they are busy crafting jokes, let’s keep growing our figures.”
