Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas on Sunday officially received his All Progressives Congress, APC, membership card, marking his official registration with the party.
During a quick ceremony at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, Umaru Tanko, Chairman of the APC Hospital Ward in Wukari Local Government Area, gave the governor the membership card.
Speaking after obtaining the card, Kefas claimed that his APC registration had formally confirmed his membership status, allowing him to fully take part in all party events.
He revealed that the previously postponed official defection ceremony would be rescheduled and held soon.
Presenting the card, Tanko said the APC was pleased to formally welcome the governor into its ranks and hailed him as a legitimate member of the party.
Governor Kefas is now an official member of the APC in Taraba State, according to Barrister Zainab Usman Jalingo, Commissioner for Information and Reorientation.
With his official registration in the APC, Kefas has now assumed leadership of the party in the state.
This follows after the River state governor received his APC membership card and also declared himself as the number APC member in the state.
