Former Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political Matters, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has stated that Tinubu could become Nigeria’s worst president if re-elected in 2027.

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed made the comment on Tuesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm.
He noted that since stepping down from his role as the president’s adviser, he has not observed any improvement in Tinubu’s performance. Instead, he said the situation in the country appears to have worsened.
“Our nation has been a lot more insecure now than I left. What I see at home and on the street when people speak, the level of desperation, poverty is most pronounced, especially in the Northern part of the country.
“I see a president who is amassing all the politicians around him with the hope that those politicians are going to deliver him in the second term.
“That is poor thinking. It’s not strategic and it’s not Tinubu that we used to hear about.
“I’m sorry to say that I think President Tinubu will make the worst president if he returns to power in 2027,” Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said.
