Harrysong reveals shocking impact: Feud with Kcee derailed his career

Nigerian singer Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has revealed that his fallout with former record label boss Kcee significantly impacted his career, particularly his creativity.

Reports recall that Harrysong and Kcee/5ive Star Music parted ways in 2017 after the Delta-born singer accused the label of withholding royalties, unfair treatment, and restricting his creative freedom.

Harrysong further stated that he had written numerous hit songs for Kcee during his time at the label, a revelation that sparked a series of responses from Kcee and intensified the dispute.

Speaking in a recent interview with Jusmen 105.7 FM, Harrysong disclosed that the beef with Kcee sometimes distracted him from making music.

“The beef with Kcee used to distract me, it used to affect the music. Because most of the time, instead of recording, I would be thinking of how to reply Kcee and continue to fight. So, it distracted me. It affected my creativity,” he said.

Harrysong said he has now resolved his dispute with Kcee and 5ive Star Music.

He added that he has also grown a tick skin to controversies in a way that they could no longer distract him from making music.
