Following new accusations made by a lady named Bessem, who claims to be his former wife, Pastor Chris Okafor has once again come under public attention.
Shortly after the pastor publicly went on his knees to apologise to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala for their previous relationship, Bessem’s accusations became public. Bessem responded to the apology by describing it as dishonest and claiming that Pastor Okafor’s actions will remain unchanged.
Bessem, also known as Agnes, stated in a statement that went viral on the internet that she married Chris Okafor at the age of 18 in a relationship that was officially arranged by people who are still living. She claimed that the marriage resulted in four children, whom she referred to as the union’s legitimate and acknowledged children.

She described Pastor Chris Okafor’s attempts to reject the marriage and the children as disgraceful and detrimental to Christianity. Bessem went on to say that she ended the marriage voluntarily because she could no longer put up with what she called behaviour that damaged the church’s reputation.
She further alleged that shortly after their wedding, she found a marriage certificate proving Chris Okafor had been married before—information she said was purposefully kept from her. She said that despite the document’s purported existence, he denied it when questioned.
In addition, Bessem said that the clergyman had deceived her, mistreated her emotionally, and taken advantage of her youth, treating her more as a tool for procreation than as a spouse. She further claimed that Pastor Okafor had improper relationships with some of his deacons’ spouses and their housekeeper, pushing the latter to leave the house.
Currently residing in the United States, Bessem further stated that pastor Chris Okafor had sex with his deacons’ wives.

She claimed to have slept with several people, including Anita Chioma and Enzinne Nana, a married woman.
