Renowned Celebrity chef, Hilda Baci has officially kicked off her quest to set a new Guinness World Record for cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice, aiming at 250 bags of rice.

The record-breaking chef, who gained global recognition in 2023 after breaking the Guinness world record for the longest cooking marathon attempted by an individual, launched the ambitious attempt  to break yet another mind blowing record in Eko hotels, Lagos before a lively crowd of fans and supporters.

Hilda Baci and her mother were spotted praying together before the cooking started, requesting divine fortitude, protection, and perseverance.

Many of the viewers who witnessed the heartwarming scene praised Hilda’s mother as a crucial pillar of her path.

“Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. In just a few hours, this same pot will carry thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making,” she wrote.

Over 20,000 people registered to attend the event, which was originally scheduled for Muri Okunola Park but was then shifted to the Eko Hotel due to tremendous popularity.
