In a notice issued on Thursday and addressed to residents of other states, the Commission stated that dates for PVC collection outside the FCT are yet to be determined.

INEC assured eligible voters across the country that once a timetable is finalised, it will be formally announced through all its official platforms.

INEC urged voters in other states to await formal communication and cautioned against relying on unverified information circulating on unofficial channels.

The Commission thanked Nigerians for their understanding and cooperation, reiterating its commitment to transparent and timely communication regarding electoral activities.

The announcement follows an earlier statement by INEC inviting FCT residents to collect their PVCs in line with preparations for the February 21 Area Council Election.

The exercise commences today, January 22, and will run through January 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily at all Registration Areas (Wards) across the FCT.

Thereafter, PVC collection will continue at INEC Area Council Offices.

INEC encouraged eligible voters in the FCT to collect their PVCs early and participate fully in the electoral process, ensuring a smooth voting experience on election day.
