Afrobeats star Davido has said that his time at university played a major role in shaping both his personal life and music career.
He made this known during a recent visit to his alma mater, Babcock University.
Davido explained that graduating from university in an industry where many artists do not complete their education gives him a strong sense of pride. He added that he often reminds colleagues that he not only attended school but also finished successfully.
According to him, the university experience contributed significantly to his development and helped shape his journey as an artist.
He also recalled that his father insisted he complete his studies at Babcock University before fully pursuing music professionally.
The singer further noted that he met his wife, Chioma Adeleke, while studying at the institution.
Davido, who studied Music, also revealed that several of his early hit songs were released while he was still a student on campus.
