Armed bandits have allegedly abducted a pastor of the Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners Chapel, on Saturday while he was travelling to his farm in Okoro Gbedde, Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State.
Witnesses claim that the attackers confronted the pastor and a commercial rider while they were riding a motorbike along the Okeoffin–Okoro Gbedde axis to his farm.
Sources revealed that upon seeing the kidnappers, the pastor “jumped off the motorcycle”.

“The commercial rider managed to escape unharmed, while the pastor was abducted and taken to an unknown location,” a source said.
As of the time of filing this report, the kidnappers had not contacted the pastor’s family or the church, and no ransom demand had been made.
Residents of Okoro Gbedde and nearby settlements in Kogi have expressed fear and anxiety as a result of the occurrence, which has increased worries about local security.

Recall that on Sunday, December 14, 2025, gunmen assaulted and abducted worshippers from the First ECWA Church and the Apostolic Church in Aiyetoro Kiri, Kabba/Bunu, Kogi State.
After attacking the churches, the gunmen got in touch with the locals and demanded N600 million in ransom.
According to reports, at least 37 worshippers—including old and young people—were kidnapped.

Later, sources told SaharaReporters that two people were injured in the incident, and Pastor Jimoh Adeyemi, also known as JJ, a seminary graduate, was killed.
According to reports, over 10 senior worshippers over 70 years old and over 12 children between the ages of three and eight were among those kidnapped.
Meanwhile, Olle-Bunu community in the Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State was thrown into fear on Sunday morning following a reported bandit attack that led to the abduction of two residents.
According to Okun Voice, local sources identified the victims as Monday, also known as Jebete, and Ayinmero Shola. As at the time of publication, the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping were still unknown.
