A former member of the House of Representatives from Kano State, Jibrin Abdulmumin, has stated that President Bola Tinubu has consistently demonstrated strong support for the North, describing claims of bias against the region as unfounded.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Jibrin Abdulmumin dismissed allegations that Tinubu is unfavourable to Northern Nigeria, insisting the narrative is driven by political propaganda.
Jibrin Abdulmumin argued that the President remains a highly influential figure across the country, particularly in the South, and that the perception of neglect in the North is being deliberately promoted by some politicians.
According to him, issues raised against Tinubu regarding appointments and development projects in the North are “misleading and politically motivated,” aimed at damaging the President’s image.
Jibrin Abdulmumin maintained that Tinubu has, over the years, demonstrated consistent goodwill and support toward Northern Nigeria and its people.
