The Director-General of the Protocol Directorate at the Kano State Government House, Abdullahi Rogo, has claimed that residents and voters in the state are in agreement that former governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and the current governor, Abba Yusuf, should leave the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Rogo made the statement in a viral video shared by Arewa Update on Sunday.
He explained that the proposed defection of the two prominent political figures to the APC followed a meeting with the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly.
“After our meeting with the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and other members of Kwankwasiyya, we agreed that Kwankwaso and Kano State Governor Abba K. Yusuf should join the APC,” he said.
