The Imo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has re-elected its former State Chairman, James Okoroma, alongside 15 members of the previous State Executive.

The officials were returned through voice votes, including Deputy State Chairman Demian Ezeagu, State Publicity Secretary Macdonald Amadi, State Legal Adviser Kissinger Ikeokwu, and zonal chairmen representing the three geopolitical zones in the state.
The congress was conducted by a committee led by Okem UK from the party’s national headquarters, alongside other members.
Speaking at the event held at the Kanu Nwankwo Sports Arena in Owerri, former Governor Emeka Ihedioha expressed satisfaction with the turnout of delegates from all 27 local government areas of the state.

He revealed that the party has so far registered over 200,000 members and assured that the registration exercise would continue beyond the congress.
Also speaking, former Governor Achike Udenwa commended delegates and party members for their orderly conduct during the exercise.
He described the ADC as a well-organized and recognized political party, adding that it would continue to attract new members.
