“Mecca is just a tourist center” – Actor Jigan Baba Oja reveals after being denied access to holy city
Popular Yoruba actor Abiola Kazeem, popularly known as Jigan Baba Oja, has stirred up an online argument over his remarks on Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

According to Jigan Baba Oja, who has also become a sensation through his live video contents on TikTok recently, Mecca is termed Umurah, and that makes it a tourist destination as he was exchanging views with a netizen who identified himself as a practicing Muslim.
“Prayers are answered by God on these sacred grounds, though Umurah, or Mecca, is just a tourist centre,” said the actor. He further alleged that all Nigerians are prohibited from visiting Mecca by the Saudi government.
It was just some few days after completing the fasting period of Ramadan before this actor’s video made its way to the social media forum.
Mecca is thus described in Wikipedia as being the world’s most sacred city in that it is the birthplace of Prophet Muhammad and the very faith itself, located in a desert valley in the western region of Saudi Arabia.
