Nasir Idris, the Governor of Kebbi State, has vowed to secure the state’s support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The governor made this known on Monday while speaking to journalists after a stakeholders’ meeting held in Birnin Kebbi.
Nasir Idris explained that the meeting addressed key party matters and strategies aimed at strengthening its position ahead of upcoming elections.
“This is a stakeholders’ meeting; we have met and discussed issues that directly affect our party,” Idris said, noting that details of the resolutions would be made public by the state Commissioner for Information.

Nasir Idris also expressed strong confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the party remains deeply established in Kebbi State.
According to him, the people of the state continue to show unwavering support for the APC and are committed to ensuring its victory at both state and national levels.
Reports from the News Agency of Nigeria indicate that the meeting was attended by key political figures, including Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, and Yusuf Tanko-Sununu, Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs.
Also in attendance were Senators Adamu Aliero and Yahaya Abdullahi, alongside other party stakeholders.
